Please wait for the pipe to cool completely before removing the filter and tobacco ash. The connect- ing system adjoining the parts of this pipe is a bisectional push-fit joined (stem) at a single point. Easily separate components by turning them gently. Do not use water to wash your pipe. Only use a cotton pipe cleaner or high-quality pipe wash solutions. Be sure to wipe the inside of the pipe with a cotton pipe cleaner after each smoking session (or after changing the filter) and let it air dry for at least 2 hours before storing. If not thoroughly dried every time, there is a possibility that the sheng will narrow due to excess moisture.

In this video, I showed how can pack the pipe in an air pocket method. Pinch a pile of tobacco leaves with your fingers, stuff the leaves into the pipe’s bowl and gently pack them in with the temper. You can also fill the bowl using the air pocket or 3 step method if you would like.

Pleasurable smoking experiences are possible with proper usage of this pipe. Make sure your tobacco has the right amount of moisture, that it is correctly loaded into the pipe and that it is ignited at a fitting temperature. For best results, we recommend letting the tobacco leaves breathe before loading them. Remove some leaves from your tin or jar and air them out for about 15 minutes before proceeding to load them in the pipe. This measure ensures a balanced moisture level that is not too wet and not too dry.
